Sandra Lynn (Holm) Hanna, 72, of Heppner, Oregon died, July 24, 2024 at Pioneer Memorial Hospital.

Sandi was born August 3, 1951, to Mavis Del Rio (Sturm)Holm and William Soren Holm at US Naval Base, Tongue Point Hospital in Astoria, OR, while her father was on a Naval mission at sea during the Korean conflict. Sandi was the eldest of four siblings, Jeanine, Bill, and Kevin. She attended elementary school in Burien, WA, Anchorage, AK, Yukon, OK, Oklahoma City, OK and Dallas, OR, before finally settling with her parents and three siblings in Perrydale, OR. Sandi attended the seventh – 12th grade at Perrydale, graduating in 1969.

On August 11, 1973, she married David Lee Hanna of Heppner at the Evangelical Bible Church in Dallas,

Oregon Soon after her union with David, she began her nursing career at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner, devoting nearly all her 43 year career in nursing to the community as a RN and DNS. Sandi retired from nursing in 2016 to become a full-time grandma.

She enjoyed playing bunco, painting ceramics and bowling with all her friends, reading books, cross stitching, hunting, attending and making ice cream at the family reunions, watching Heppner athletics and spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors include her two sons, Jon Hanna, Jason Hanna and his wife Linsey, her grandchildren Gavin 22, Jasper 12, Berkley 10, and Charlee 7, as well as sister Jeanine Valenti and brother Bill Holm. She was preceded in death by her husband David Hanna, mother Mavis Holm, father William "Bill" Holm, and brother Kevin Holm.

A memorial luncheon will be held at the Heppner ELKS Lodge #358 in Heppner, OR on August 22, 2024, from 11-2. We welcome the public to attend and share their memories and stories.
