Obituary

Robanai Coral Disque, 68 of Lexington, OR passed away on February 22, 2025, at home surrounded by her family and loved ones.  She will be remembered for the love of her family and the many lives she touched during her career.

Robanai was born on September 29, 1956, in Heppner, OR to Robert and Nathaline Riddle.  She attended high school locally and graduated before moving on to pursue her goal of being a registered nurse and providing help to those who needed it.  She worked as an RN for St. Anthony Hospital, Tri-County Home Health, and finally the MCHD Home Health and Hospice in Heppner, where she served as director for 3 years.  Her compassion and dedication for her patients was acknowledged when she was awarded Nurse of the Year by the Oregon Association of Home Care in 2016.

Robanai married the love of her life Duane Roy Disque, on July 16, 1983.  Together they had two children: Kylee and Taylor.  They enjoyed almost 40 years of marriage and were side by side right up until the end.

Robanai was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church and served as Treasurer, council member, and President over the years.  She was instrumental in the beginning of the Shared Ministry between Hope Lutheran and All Saints Episcopal churches, serving on the leadership team for many years.  She also acted as a youth group and Sunday school teacher.

She was also an active member in Cursillo, chairing many different positions and serving as historian for many years.  She also was an avid golfer and enjoyed stamping up and playing Bunco.  Her biggest enjoyment in life was watching, playing with, and spoiling her granddaughters.

Robanai is survived by her husband Duane; daughter Kylee (Sean) Allstott; son Taylor Disque; granddaughters Kate Bailee and Jane Julie Allstott; sisters Twilla Peterson and Rhonda Cummings; brothers Charlie Riddle, Chris Riddle, and Terry Riddle; step-sisters Shannon Landcaster and Andrea Long; and step-brother Rich Long.

A celebration of life service will be held at Hopeful Saints Church on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11 AM.  Following the service, a reception for friends and family will take place at the Heppner Elks Lodge #358.  A private graveside will take place at the Heppner Masonic Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to MCHD Home Health and Hospice in Heppner.

Sweeney Payton Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements.  Please leave your condolence messages at sweeneypaytonmortuary.com.
