Raymond Lester Harrison January 6, 1939 – September 19, 2025

Raymond Lester Harrison, 86, of Condon Oregon, passed away on September 19, 2025. A celebration of Raymond's life will be held at the Condon Elks Lodge on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. There will be a grave side service held at the Lonerock Cemetery for family and close friends at 10:00 a.m.

Raymond was born January 6, 1939 in Condon, Oregon, the son of Lester Harrison and Ethel Rogers Harrison. He was the youngest of four children. He attended grade school and high school in Condon and lived the majority of his life in Condon and on the Harrison ranch near Lonerock, Oregon. On June 20, 1959 Raymond married Patricia (Pat) Love in Condon and together they had four children. After 31 years of marriage Raymond and Pat divorced. Six years later Raymond fell in love with Claudette Edwards and they married on May 26, 1996 in Lonerock.

Raymond worked on the family ranch as a cattle rancher and wheat farmer until he retired later in life. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, going to high school ball games, listen to his favorite band, Countryfied, playing cards and the slot machines. Raymond loved his social life with family and friends and was well known for telling jokes, his unforgettable one-liners and enjoyed his 'Lonerock koolaid'. He was a member of the BPOE Elks for 65 years and was Santa Clause for many of those years, a Farm Bureau member, served on several boards, including the Condon School District, Columbia Basin Electric Coop, and Lonerock City Counsel and was also the Lonerock Mayor.

Raymond is survived by his four children and stepdaughter, Allison Lathrop and her husband Vern. His children are: Tami Long and her spouse Joe, Amy Coy and her partner Ron Mobley, Eric Harrison and Ryan Harrison. He has 12 grandchildren: Tara and her spouse Sam, Travis and his spouse Kathy, Cece and her partner Paul, Steffanie and her spouse Nick, Shelby and her spouse Damien, Taylor and his partner Genevieve, Erica and her spouse Adam, Bailey, and Bryce and his fiancé Kaycee, Brandon and his partner Kayla, Katie and her spouse Kalie, and Lyndsay. Raymond is also survived by 15 great grandchildren from the ages of 12 to 6 weeks old. Raymond is also survived by his sisters Verla Wake and her husband Garth and Doris Carter and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ethel Harrison; sister Evelyn Russell; his wife Claudette Harrison; his stepson Steve Sherrell and a great granddaughter.

Memorial donations in Raymond's name may be directed to the Condon Dollars for Scholars Foundation.
