Raul Silva, 77, of Heppner, Oregon passed away on August 26th, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Raul was born in San Antonio, Texas and was the son of Ofelia Kenny.

Raul met Kathleen McClain in 1974.  Together, they had a daughter named Donna. He also has three grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, and Joseph and 3 great grandchildren, Ashlynn, Delilah, and Sunny.

He worked many miscellaneous jobs throughout his life but spent the last 12 years as part owner in a local business in Heppner, Lott’s Electric. He retired from there in 2018 for health reasons and the business was dissolved.

When he was younger, he was an avid golfer, loved music, played the drums, and had a very elaborate electric racetrack that he would set up and weave throughout the living room.

Many people would say he had a very dry sense of humor and could be honest to a fault, but that is also what most people loved about him.  Towards the end of his life, family was very important to him and we would spend as much time together as possible.

Remaining to cherish his memory are: Donna, Nicole, Jessica, Joseph, Ashlyn, Delilah, Sunny; sister Gloria, cousin Beverly, and many nieces and nephews, along with many other friends that he has picked up along the way.

Raul is preceded in death by his mother Ofelia, brother Frank, sister Arlene, and significant other Kathy.

A small graveside service will be held Sunday, September 13th, 2026 for close family and friends with Tripp Finch officiating.
