IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Neva Cheyenne
(Randall) Demayo Mahon
November 30, 1950 – November 30, 2024
Neva Cheyenne DeMayo Mahon
November 27, 1951 – March 28, 2025
Neva Cheyenne DeMayo Mahon, 73 of Heppner, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Neva was born in Gardner, Kansas to Melven Lee Randall and Maud Everett Randall. She had a lifelong love of education and earned a BA degree in religious studies, as well as one in literature. She enjoyed sharing her love of education as a teacher for many years.
She lived in many states before settling in Oregon. She loved to travel and took advantage whenever she could, even if it meant leaving her beloved cat Max home alone. She and her husband David DeMayo made their home in Heppner until his passing in 2020. Neva had many different jobs but she was always a caregiver and a homemaker first.
Neva was always very active in her church and her community. It was here that she met William Mahon at the All Saints Episcopal Church. They had an immediate connection through their shared faith in Jesus Christ. During their relationship they loved to travel, fish, and share their morning devotional; whatever it was, as long as they were together. They were married on May 1, 2022 and were beside each other all the way through her passing. They both felt blessed to have found each other.
Neva is survived by her husband Bill Mahon, brother Ross DC Randall, and brother-in-law Scott Burnside.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, David Richard DeMayo and her parents Melven and Maud.
