Ellen Irene Taylor, 91, of Ione, OR passed away on September 18, 2026. Ellen was born on February 14, 1935 in Elm Creek, Nebraska, the daughter of Joe and Marjorie Streeter. Ellen graduated with her high school diploma from Blue Mountain Community College. Ellen worked most of her life as a meat wrapper at Hill Meat Company in Pendleton, OR. Ellen was a part of Willow Creek Baptist Church in Heppner, OR.

Ellen is survived by her sister, Shirley Dozer; her children Brenda (Dave) Knight, Rhonda Hasbrouck, Valerie (Gary) Krieger, and Kristie Taylor; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Marjorie Streeter; husbands Roy V Hasbrouck and Claude R. Taylor; children Mike and Scott Taylor; sisters Beverly Kae, Lucille Streeter, and Lila Snart; and brothers Floyd, Loren Dean, Lloyd, Pat, Chet, Joe, Dwain, Raymond, and Gene Streeter.

A viewing will be held in Heppner, OR at Sweeney Payton Mortuary on Wednesday, September 23 from 2-6 PM. The graveside service will be held at Onley Cemetery in Pendleton, OR on Thursday, September 24 at 11 AM with a reception to follow at the Seventh Day Adventist Church from 12-3 PM, located at 1401 SW Goodwin Pl, Pendleton, OR.
