Edgar (Eddie) Clyde Olson, age 89, a longtime resident of Heppner Oregon passed away September 29th at Pioneer Memorial Hospital with his daughters by his side.

Eddie was born on June 21st, 1936, in Des Moines, Iowa, the youngest son of Marion and Ida Olson. He graduated from Heppner High School in 1957. Worked for many years at the Umatilla Army Depot, and as a carpenter and then worked and retired from Kinzua plywood plant.

Eddie loved Heppner and lived there most of his life. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved bowling.

He is survived by Lorrie and Fritz Flowers and Susy McBride of La Grande, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and infant daughter.

Graveside service and internment will be held at the Heppner Masonic Cemetery on Saturday, October 4th at 3pm. Pastor Tripp Finch officiating.
